Build app navigation, filter lists and search with three new components, plus cleaner close buttons and a faster menu highlight.

New features

  • Added Sidebar for app navigation, with a collapsible icon rail, nested items, an account menu and a drawer on narrow screens.
  • Added FilterBar and FilterTrigger for filtering lists and tables, with addable filters and a drawer on narrow screens.
  • Added SearchField for search inputs, with a clear button and an optional submit button.

Improvements

  • Aligned the close icon on Dismissible with the content's top corner, which also pins the Modal.Dismissible close button to the panel corner.
  • Improved the contrast of the Dismissible overlay close button.
  • Made the highlight slide in Select, DropdownMenu and HoverHighlight faster, using a 280ms ease-out curve. The transitionDelay default on HoverHighlight is now 280.
  • Updated Tabs to use the cell and cellGroup border radius tokens instead of size-based radii.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed Dismissible losing its standalone layout when its only children were empty arrays or booleans.
