Override component styles with application CSS and Tailwind utilities, with fixes for text composition and theme fills.

Improvements

  • Placed component styles in the vortex cascade layer so application styles and Tailwind utilities can override them.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed useShortcuts firing during IME composition, so confirming composed text does not trigger a shortcut action.
  • Fixed Skeleton mask content and empty placeholders not painting correctly when application styles override component styles.
  • Fixed static fills in Backdrop and Radio to use background color tokens.

Breaking changes

  • Changed component styles from unlayered CSS to the vortex layer. Normal unlayered application styles now take precedence regardless of specificity. Review resets and overrides, and declare vortex before application layers intended to override it; see CSS layer setup.
  • Required @vortexlabs/vortex-themes@^0.5.0, replacing the ^0.4.0 peer dependency. Upgrade Vortex Themes and regenerate custom themes; rename semantic color keys from lightMode and darkMode to light and dark as shown in Create a Theme.
