Steppers and file uploads

vortex v0.13.0: Steppers and file uploads

Stepper shows progress through multistep flows, FileUpload accepts picked or dropped files, and components move to the unified size tokens.

New features

  • Added Stepper with horizontal, stacked and vertical layouts, controlled and uncontrolled active steps, error steps, and clickable steps for moving back.
  • Added FileUpload with a dropzone and file picker, plus FileUpload.Item for upload progress, errors, and cancel, remove and retry actions.

Improvements

  • Improved Select with animated field expansion and popup motion that respects reduced motion.
  • Improved PinField with animated character entry.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed reflow gaps and overlapping targets in Select.Combobox, gave multi-select badge-removal and clear-all controls separate 24 × 24 px targets, and aligned custom badges beside names.
  • Fixed multi-select Select menus jumping, clipping or overlapping as badges wrap and unwrap; menus now stay on their current side while they still fit.
  • Fixed the Badge close button touch target being smaller than 24 × 24 px, and kept touch targets centered in right-to-left layouts.
  • Fixed floating content ignoring rapid close and reopen, staying in the page when no hide transition runs, and closing straight away when opened by a click outside it.
  • Fixed nested floating content appearing below its owning overlay.
  • Fixed overlay stacking: floating content uses --vortex-z-index-5555; CommandMenu, Drawer, ZoomImage and Backdrop use --vortex-z-index-7777; Toast uses --vortex-z-index-8888; and the default BreakpointsIndicator zIndex is now 10000.
  • Fixed keyboard focus rings not appearing, and hover-triggered floating content not opening on focus, after macOS Option+Tab navigation.
